Breadth Pieces
Concentration
Descriptions of Breadth Pieces in order:
- Make Some Art: Using a pencil, I decided to draw a crow to display different values from the details of its feathers and eyes.
- Figure Drawing: Using a pencil, I drew a dancer to focus on the shadows in the fabric the dancer is wearing.
- Emotive Portrait: I drew myself looking like I normally do, bored, using a pencil to add value to certain parts of the piece.
- Yearbook: Using a pencil and watercolor pencils, I displayed a piece that had the meaning of light being able to grow from the darkness below.
- Hands: Using a pencil, I drew hanging arms to display the different hand positions drawn.
- Cross Contour: I used one of my previous pieces, the still life, and recreated a part of the piece using contour lines.
- Choice: I used one of my summer assignments to differentiate two different surfaces from a rugged cloth being used to a smooth hard surface of an egg.
- Museum Inspired: By looking at two different pieces at the Modern Art Museum, I was able to mix both pieces together using Prismacolors to create a piece that had a creepy tone.
- Foreshortening: While standing on top of a tree stump, I was able to create a piece using Prismacolors to display perspective from my point of view when looking down.
- Architectural Abstraction: I drew a corner of my house while using different shades of the color blue to create a piece that is able to look abstract.
- Abstraction: I used a small portion of the Foreshortening piece to recreate it larger so that the final piece would look abstract.
- Social Issue: I created a piece that showcases the dangers of smoking by using a pencil to draw a black and white hand and Prismacolors to have the cigarette and veins be front-and-center in order to have a message of "smoking will lead to endangering your body".
